How to Choose a Faux Fur Throw Blanket for Your Sofa

A throw blanket can do two jobs at once: make your sofa more inviting and add a finishing touch to your room. If you love a plush look, a faux-fur throw is worth considering. The key is choosing one for the way you actually relax, not just how it looks in a photograph.

Start with the material

“Faux rabbit fur” describes a rabbit-fur-inspired texture, not real rabbit fur. The BubbleSoft™ Faux Rabbit Fur Blanket is made from polyester. Its product listing describes a double-sided design, and the product photo shows a raised bubble texture that adds visual interest to a sofa.

Think about your room's temperature and your personal preferences. Someone who likes an extra layer while reading may want a different blanket from someone decorating a sofa in a warm room.

Choose a color that works with your space

For a quiet, coordinated look, choose a shade close to your sofa or cushions. For more contrast, use the blanket as your room's accent color. BubbleSoft's product listing includes shades such as pink, green, caramel, khaki, blue, milk white, and gray. Check the product page for the options currently available.

Check the size before ordering

Measure the area you want to cover. A throw for one person's lap has a different job from a blanket intended to stretch across a bed. Confirm the dimensions of your chosen option before purchasing, rather than judging scale from lifestyle photos alone. If the dimensions aren't listed, contact us before ordering.

Make care part of the decision

Before washing, follow the blanket's care label. Don't assume that every polyester blanket can use the same wash or drying settings. A care routine that fits your household matters just as much as the color.
